In the end...this is a remarkable album. It is still true that Chambers is the finest country singer this country has ever produced. She is so far ahead of the competition that listening to her, particularly on a song like Not Pretty Enough, and thinking of other Australian country singers is a bit like watching a racehorse compete with a heard of Shetland ponies

Kasey Chambers "The Captain"

Her vocals are a bit of Nanci and Julie Miller, while her writing style and delivery is more like Lucinda or Matraca Berg. Buddy and Julie Miller help out.
